Dragon Boat Festival, also can be called as Duanwu Festival, is a traditional holiday in China. People in China celebrate this festival on the 5th day of the 5th month of the traditional lunar calendar, in the folklore, it is to commemorate the death of poet and minister QuYuan in  Spring and Autumn Warring States Period. Qu Yuan committed suicide by drowning himself in the Miluo River after his country had been intruded, and the local people who respected him, tried to find and save him. They dropped balls of sticky rice and eggs into the river so that the fishes and shrimps would not eat Qu Yuan's body. These are the origins of the customs of dragon boat races and the food-zongzi.
